Revisiting pre-collection research_ La G

This pre-collection was the product of the first project of my final year at uni. It comprises of a Victorian jacket with modern details, a dishevelled, inside-out can-can skirt, and a corseted ruffle dress (to be worn with a tit top of course.) My Victorian fascination is no secret, and an element I came across this year was a surprising sexual frivolity. In a time so conservative, French Porn was being sold on the black markets in England. Along this road I of course was led to La Goulue, an infamous can-can dancer of the Moulin Rouge. They said she was insatiable and finished the drinks of everyone in the room, and thus - The Glutton.
